Brushing up on your knowledge of ArtCAM just got easier.
Delcam has announced jewellers and other users of its ArtCAM software will now have four chances to enhance their skills at various workshops next month.
The dates and location for ArtCAM’s User Group meetings are Oct. 4 at MST Bronze in Toronto, Oct. 7 at The Castle in Orlando, Fla., Oct. 15 at the Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine, Tex., and Oct. 20 at NextEngine in Santa Monica, Calif.
“We know it can be difficult to get away from the shop,” said Sean Plunkett, sales manager for ArtCAM North America. “Not only is there a concern for costs, but time as well. In order to alleviate this as much as possible, we are making our 2011 User Group Meetings more convenient to our customers by offering four different locations, each on a different day of the week”¦ We are confident that by attending one of the ArtCAM User Groups, you will enhance your skill and knowledge in ArtCAM, so you can produce your work with greater speed, efficiency, accuracy, and cost effectiveness, gaining maximum return on your investment.”
Topics covered at the User Group meetings include:
• contour blending to improve the quality of text;
• texture effects, particularly with those that intersect or overlap;
• producing complex borders on items like picture frames; and
• an overview of improvements to the quality of vectors generated from bitmaps imported from 2-D drawing packages such as Corel Draw, or scanned from artwork or photographs.
