The Ontario chapter of the GIA Alumni Association is gearing up for its annual patio party and this year, gem expert Richard Drucker will be on hand.
In addition to current gemstone treatments and how they affect pricing, Drucker’s one-hour lecture will address the effects of the market on diamonds, coloured stones, and pearls, and other industry issues making headlines. Drucker is president of Gemworld International Inc., and founder and publisher of GemGuide.
The gathering will be held Aug. 13 at Toronto’s Dazzling Restaurant at 291 King Street West. Doors open at 5 p.m., with Drucker taking the podium at 6:30 p.m. The patio party begins at 7:45 p.m.
GIA’s Judi Shechter will also provide an update on new developments at the Gemological Institute of America.
