The spotlight shone on Italian craftsmanship at the Dubai International Jewellery Week.
It was the first step of a far-reaching agreement between Fiera di Vicenza and Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) that aims to encourage collaboration between the two groups
“Participation at the Dubai International Jewellery Week is an integral part of Fiera di Vicenza’s internationalization strategy, which is developing along two parallel lines,” said fair president and chair, Roberto Ditri.
“The first requires its direct presence, with customized exhibition formats in the most interesting markets: the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, India and, shortly, also Brazil, China, and Russia, where it will lend support to its company partners with services, marketing, and advertising. The second involves actions aimed at stimulating the growing flow of foreign exhibitors and certified operators to the shows that Vicenza holds in its own fair area, where its leading position demands a high degree of international visibility.”
Signed last May, the agreement is designed to increase visibility and promote commercial and business opportunities between the Arab world and Europe, specifically Italy.
More than 20,000 people attended the show, which featured 320 exhibitors. Of those, 32 were Italian, with 10 others from Belgium, France, Great Britain, Greece, Lithuania, and Spain. The contingent was featured at the VicenzaOro Italian Club, VicenzaOro European Club, and T-Gold International.
VicenzaOro ‘Winter’ runs from Jan. 19 to 24.
