Canadian Jewellery Group raises $100,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities

In 2008, the Canadian Jewellery Group (CJG) began integrating a charitable aspect to their Annual General Meeting and Buying Show. This year, CJG reached a milestone in their fundraising efforts—raising more than $100,000 to date for Ronald McDonald House Charities in Canada.

For decades CJG members have gathered at their annual meeting to buy jewellery, attend educational seminars, and network. Now, CJG’s yearly event roster includes fundraising activities such as a silent auction and a scrap gold drive.

At the 2016 CJG Gala, former CJG president, Brian VandenDool highlighted the charitable work of Ronald McDonald Houses in Canada CJG members are proud to support. “I would like to thank all those who participated in our silent auction and scrap gold drive,” VandenDool said at the gala dinner. “This spectacular achievement of reaching the $100,000 donation mark could not have been possible without your great generosity.”

This year, $17,500 will be hand delivered to Ronald McDonald Houses in communities across Canada by CJG members and suppliers.
