The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is once again holding its Jewelry Career Fair and Open House.
Set for Oct. 11 at GIA’s world headquarters in Carlsbad, Calif., the fair sees industry members, job seekers, and recruiters gathering to network and make career connections. The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Highlights include:
- panel discussions, featuring industry leaders commenting on design, creative careers, and job success;
- one-on-one career coaching;
- classroom demonstrations; and
- an all-jewellery exhibit featuring designs by Hollywood design legends Tony Duquette and Hutton Wilkinsons entitled ‘More is More: Tony Duquette?Hutton Wilkinson Jewelry,’ which debuts Oct 10.
First held in 1991, GIA’s career fair has since expanded to include more than 40 events in India, Las Vegas, New York, and Carlsbad.
