The International Institute of Diamond Grading and Research (IIDGR) will be launching a two-day synthetic diamond detection training course to better equip participants on how to tell the difference between lab-grown diamonds and rough or polished stones.
“The ability to detect undisclosed synthetic stones is becoming increasingly important for diamond traders and retailers,” says IIDGR president, Jonathan Kendall. “The introduction of the course represents another key step towards the IIDGR’s mission to ensure industry and consumer confidence in the integrity and quality of diamond purchases.”
The course will debut at the IIDGR’s facility in Surat, India on May 15-16, and during the JCK Las Vegas show on June 8-9. It will cost $2999.
