The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) will be hosting the sixth annual International Gemological Symposium Oct. 7-9, in Carlsbad, Calif. Over the course of three days, researchers will be presenting their latest gemmological insights with the idea of “New Challenges. Creating Opportunities.” in mind.
The symposium will also celebrate Richard T. Liddicoat, the GIA’s second president who is otherwise known as the “Father of Modern Gemmology.”
