Jewelers Mutual’s former president has been inducted into the Wisconsin Jewelers Association’s Hall of Fame.

Ron Harder, who led the company for 25 years, was honoured for his contribution to the local industry at a presentation during the Madison Jewelry Expo last month.

“The Wisconsin Jewelers Association is proud to add Ronald R. Harder to our Hall of Fame inductees in recognition of his lifetime of service to the jewellers of Wisconsin and the industry at large,” said association president, Jeff Wickersham.

“His successful business leadership and commitment to education are an example to all.”

Jewelers Mutual’s current president, Darwin Copeman, praised Harder for his impact on the company and industry.

“Ron Harder devoted 34 years to Jewelers Mutual, which remains to this day the only insurance company in the United States and Canada solely dedicated to protecting jewellery businesses and jewellery owners,” Copeman said.

“He would be the first to say that he shares this honour from the Wisconsin Jewelers Association’s Hall of Fame with the great people he worked with at Jewelers Mutual.”
