The second annual CARAT+ diamond trade show is fast approaching, and organizer Easyfairs is preparing by collaborating. The company has teamed up with the Federation of Belgian Diamond Bourses (FBDB) and Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) to work on the show’s next edition, scheduled for May 6 to 8 at Antwerp Expo.
“We are pleased an agreement has been reached to bundle our efforts with CARAT+,” said Philippe Barsamian, president of FBDB. “The partnership will create a new synergy and will ultimately benefit the entire Antwerp diamond industry and especially our members. The dynamism and diversity of our diamantaires will be highlighted in this new international framework.”
Easyfairs managing director, Dirk Oosterlinck, also expressed optimism about the partnership, saying it placed the trade show in an excellent position to continue expanding. When it launched last year, the event drew more than 3000 visitors and 130 exhibitors, and organizers hope to achieve similarly strong performance in 2018.
