Tiffany Kay, daughter of renowned jewellery designer Scott Kay, has announced plans to launch her own line of jewellery. The ‘Tiffany Kay Studio’ collection will debut on QVC this Thursday at 10 a.m. (ET) as part of the network’s Designer Jewelry Studio broadcast.

Although this is Kay’s first solo initiative in the industry, she worked with her father for many years before he passed away in 2014.

“I started going to the office with my dad when I was seven,” said Kay, now 30. “I loved touching all the jewellery, going to the factory, and seeing everything be made. It is impossible not to fall in love with the art of jewellery.”

The line includes 20 designs featuring knit links and semiprecious stones. It is described as everyday wear intended to evoke emotional meaning.

Kay began knitting shortly after her father died and has now made more than 50 scarves. For her, designing the jewellery collection seemed a natural next step.

“Creating jewellery is home for me. I came back to where I belong—making beautiful, wearable designs that had feeling, emotion, and movement,” she said. “It all started by turning a piece of string into something anybody can wear.”
