Toronto-based Corona Jewellery Co., will soon begin offering Libman & Co. collections, following the liquidation of Martin Ross Group.
“I’m extremely pleased to inform you that Libman’s 80-year legacy will continue,” said Corona president John Minister in an open letter to the industry.
“Corona is concluding arrangements to be able to facilitate the offering of the entire Libman collection to the industry. This collection—which includes designs that were created and made available by Libman under Inuit Ice, and the previously licenced Alfred Sung and ForeverMark labels—will now be offered by Corona under the Libman label. Having been a direct competitor to Libman since my start in the industry in 1972, they have always been known as one of the highest-quality manufacturers in Canada and I’m honoured to continue the Libman brand.”
According to the letter, plans are still in the developmental stage.
“Our team will ensure you are kept abreast of any new developments and we hope to be ready to take orders as early as the middle of January 2015,” Minister added.
“We remain firmly committed to offering the best selection of quality-made styles and exceptional services.”
Corona recently announced it had appointed Cameron Gillies as its new executive vice-president of sales. Gillies previously served as president of Martin Ross Group.
