Two Québécois companies are among the winners of the 2020 JCK Jewelry Awards.
The competition, which awards exceptional jewellery design as voted by retailers, spans 21 main categories and a variety of price point-based subcategories. This year, more than 30 companies were celebrated, with some earning accolades under multiple headings.
Laval, Qué.’s Malo Creations received accolades in three different categories. The company won in the men’s jewellery category (under US$1000), thanks to its 7-mm (0.28-in.) 14-karat rose gold and carbon fibre band, as well as in the platinum jewellery category (under $10,000) for a 10-mm (0.39-in.) laser-engraved platinum and carbon fibre ring, and in the best ring design category ($2501 to $5000) for its 10-mm (0.39-in.) 14-karat white gold and carbon fibre ring, set with round diamonds.
“Growing up in the jewellery business, receiving JCK Awards was an aspiration,” Tony Malo, the company’s head of sales and marketing, tells JB. “After having won five years in a row, and this year alone having won in three categories, this is definitely a dream come true.
“I’d like to thank all those who took the time to vote for Malo. We are committed to keep pushing the boundaries of innovation to the highest.”
Montréal-based Atelier by Noam Carver also found success with a ring, winning best bridal design ($5001 to $10,000) for its 18-karat yellow gold and platinum engagement ring, which is set with diamonds (0.45 ctw).
