Alex and Ani is exhibiting at the Toronto Gift Fair.
It’s the first time the U.S. brand has showcased its designs at a Canadian trade show.
“We will be doing this trade show to showcase our brand to likeminded retailers and to expand our distribution with gift stores across Canada,” said Aren Arkarakas, managing director of Nouvo Mode, which distributes Alex and Ani in Canada.
“We find jewellery retailers are also attending the gift shows more frequently to find new and interesting products and brands.”
Created by designer Carolyn Rafaelian, founder and creative director, the line features patented signature expandable wire bangles, rings, and necklaces that incorporate symbolism and meaning, allowing the wearer to “express their individuality in an organic, spiritual way.” The company’s name is symbolic itself—Rafaelian named it after her first two daughters, Alex and Ani.
The brand will be showcasing its 2015 fall and holiday collections in Nouvo Mode’s booth (#12431).
Toronto Gift Fair runs from Aug. 9 to 12 and is held at the International Centre in Mississauga.
