The National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA) is now taking applications for its ACE It Appraisal Conference Scholarship.
The award allows one student the chance to attend the 45th Annual ACE It Winter Educational Conference to be held Jan. 31 to Feb. 1 in Tucson during the gem shows. The scholarship covers the conference fee only.
“This opportunity gives the gemmology student a first-hand experience of networking with appraisal professionals by attending the highly regarded NAJA educational experience during a time when Tucson devotes itself to gems, jewellery, and minerals,” the association said in a press release. “NAJA believes becoming a gems and jewellery professional appraiser is a viable career option for gemmological students.”
Applicants must submit a resume, photo, and an essay on why he or she wants to become a gems and jewellery appraiser. Those with any of the following accreditations can apply: GIA, FGA, FGAA, FGG, FCGmA, and RGA.
To obtain an application, visit www.najaappraisers.com or e-mail a request to NAJA corporate office. The deadline to submit an application is Nov. 1. The NAJA Scholarship Advisory Board will announce the winner on Dec. 1.
