Nouvo Mode has signed an agreement to be the exclusive sales agency in Canada for Caroline Néron.
Based in Montreal, the Canadian actress and jewellery designer launched her own private-label jewellery company in 2004. Since then, the brand has grown to 20 retail stores across Quebec, including concept boutiques, an online shopping site, 150 employees, and nearly 50 outlets worldwide.
Aren Arkarakas, managing director of Toronto-based Nouvo Mode, says the brand’s lifestyle image will appeal to a wide audience and increase the company’s ability to build larger distribution.
“It is fashion-forward jewellery with Bohemian spirit, which really resonates with our target market,” Arkarakas says.
“This is also the first time we’ve partnered with a brand that sells categories, such as handbags, fragrances, and sunglasses. We specialize in fashion products in all categories and feel with the addition of Caroline Néron, this partnership will secure their place in the Canadian market.”
Néron says that with 20 stores in Quebec, she is now focusing on expanding to the rest of Canada.
“Our hold in Quebec is firm and our attention now moves west,” she says. “Nouvo Mode’s experience in wholesale with jewellery was our main reason for this partnership.”
In addition, the deal offers Nouvo Mode the opportunity to partner with another Canadian designer.
“We felt Caroline Néron is a great addition,” Arkarakas says, referring to Hera Arkarakas. “Both these women are business owners and are building a huge following across North America and across all borders. They are empowering other women to follow their dreams.”Â
