Former Pandora president joins Fossil

Fossil has appointed John A. White as its executive vice-president and chief operating officer (COO).

White formerly served as president of Pandora North America.

“We are very excited to have John join our executive team,” said Kosta N. Kartsotis, the watch company’s chief executive officer (CEO). “His track record of driving strategic improvements and operational excellence across large organizations will be invaluable to us as we continue our global expansion.”

White will oversee Fossil’s supply chain, distribution and warehousing, and legal and information technology operations, with a focus on long-term strategy. He reports directly to Kartsotis. White joined Pandora in 2007 and held various roles, including general manager and managing director until his promotion to president, North America in October 2010. He has a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of Maryland and a master’s of business administration from Marylhurst University.

In other company news, Fossil has promoted senior vice-president Tom Kennedy to executive vice-president, while Edward J. Robben has been hired as senior vice-president and chief information officer (CIO) and Joanne Calabrese as senior vice-president for retail merchandising.
