Traditionally speaking, the spring season is known for bringing forth a sense of growth and renewal. And while last year proved challenging for many retailers, beleaguered jewellers can perhaps take some solace in knowing that this season offers new opportunities. As such, it seems only fitting the Pantone Color Institute has chosen the colour ‘Greenery’ to inspire what is to come.
“Bursting forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a complex social and political environment, Pantone Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another, and
a larger purpose,” says Pantone Color Institute executive director, Leatrice Eiseman. This, “fresh and zesty yellow-green shade signals the first signs of spring, and conveys our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize,” she says.
Indeed, from the fall/winter catwalks and accessory lines to home décor, architecture, and packaging design, the desire to retreat to the vibrant and invigorating green outdoors, is evident.
