Last year may have been all about ‘Radiant Orchid,’ but 2015 is expected to be awash in the robust shade of ‘Marsala.’
“Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone’s executive director. “This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings, and interiors.”
According to Pantone, Marsala is flattering against many skin tones, and pairs well with monochromatic mixes of peachy pinks and antiqued gold metallic.
Here’s a look at some jewellery styles to satisfy the fashion maven amongst your clientele. And just to keep you in sync with Pantone’s colour forecast for spring and fall, we’ve included those, too.
