A ring featuring a 50.47-carat diamond is one of the headlining pieces slated to be sold at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva next week.

Bringing big sparkle to a size 6 ¾ platinum ring, the gem is a D-colour, Type IIa, cushion brilliant-cut diamond with VVS1 clarity. It is noted as being potentially internally flawless.

The sale, which will be held at 1:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on May 16, will also feature a 19th-century emerald and diamond necklace by Tiffany & Co., two coloured diamond rings expected to sell for more than $4 million each, and pieces from designers including Bulgari, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Cartier.

Christie’s expects the ring will sell for a price between $6.4 and $9 million.
