Lisa Ray admits that when it comes to design, she’s a bit of a junkie.
So it should come as no surprise the Indo-Canadian actress, model, and host has her sights on taking up a few design classes down the road.
For now, however, she gets her fix as a Rado brand ambassador, a role she is passionate about, as was evidenced at a media event in Toronto, where she helped unveil the Rado Esenza Ceramic Touch.
Held at the Thompson Hotel, the press breakfast saw trade and consumer editors get their first close up look of the new watch, which officially debuted at BaselWorld 2013.

The crownless Swiss-made watch allows the wearer to set the time by sweeping a finger around the case. The electrodes inside the case ‘feel’ the presence of a fingertip through the ceramic.
“I love the technical angle,” Ray tells Jewellery Business. “I call Rado watches fem-tech because they’re very unexpected, beautiful feminine pieces. What I love is Rado’s design elements and the fact the watches are so distinctive.”
