The École de Gemmologie de Montreal (EGM) is celebrating its 15th anniversary and you’re invited.
The festivities are part of the Canadian Gemmological Association’s (CGA’s) 21st Annual Gem Conference, which will be held from Sept. 25 to 26 at the McGill University Faculty Club.
To commemorate the milestone anniversary, EGM is holding a gala event on Saturday evening. Highlights include the choice of dining with a VIP guest, judging a ‘Sweet 15’ jewellery design contest, and door prizes.
The following day, CGA holds its annual conference, which features diamond cutter Sir Gabriel Tolkowsky, Francine Payette, editor of the Australian Gemmologist, Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences (AIGS) director Laurent Massi, and Ghislain Poirier, geological engineer and vice-president of public relations for Stornoway Diamonds. Special guests include Jack Ogden, chief executive of the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem-A) and Richard Drucker, publisher of The GemGuide.
