Armed robbers hit Oakville jewellery store

A jeweller located at a major shopping centre in Oakville, Ont., suffered an armed robbery Wednesday. Officers were called to Oakville Place’s[2] Mariani Jewellers and Watch Boutique[3] around 8:30 p.m., after employees were held at gunpoint and watches were stolen from the store’s display cases.

Reportedly, the robbery was carried out by two male suspects with average builds, who were wearing dark clothing, blue toques, and white masks. They were also carrying a red GoodLife Fitness gym bag. One man is said to have used a handgun to threaten staff while the other took the watches from their cases.

The two suspects fled through one of the mall’s southwest exits and were last seen entering an older model, silver Dodge Caravan, which may have been occupied by a third person.

No one was injured in the incident.
