SB_BreastCancer-R2[1]Atlantic Engraving is doing its part to help women and their loved ones make the best decisions for their lives after a breast cancer diagnosis.

The Montreal-based company has designed a sterling silver ‘awareness ring’ in support of breastcancer.org[2]. The piece features the pink breast cancer logo and is set with a genuine pink sapphire.

The idea for the ring grew out of a stainless steel bangle engraved with a Yiddish proverb, “Think good and it will be good.” It was designed by Zev Neuwirth, then-president of Gravure Commitment, Atlantic Engraving’s sister company, when his wife, Deborah, was fighting brain cancer.

“Our roots are based in honesty, integrity, and giving back to the community and charities,” said his sister, Freydi Neuwirth, Atlantic’s vice-president of manufacturing and marketing.

“Six years ago, Atlantic & Gravure suffered a devastating loss with the passing of my sister-in-law to brain cancer. She left behind her grieving husband and four young children. Our ‘awareness ring’ is the newest member of the Atlantic Engraving collection and [we] are proud to sponsor breastcancer.org.”

The ring retails for $99. Ten per cent of each sale will be donated to breastcancer.org.
