[1]The 19th annual Las Vegas Antique Jewelry & Watch Show recorded a six per cent increase in attendance, says its organizer.
Offerings like show sponsor Polygon’s Trading Pavilion appeared to strike a chord with attendees, while nearly 400 exhibitors showcased rare and unique pieces from around the world.
“With the euro at the lowest we’ve seen it in more than a decade, we were cautiously optimistic about the level of attendance and buying we’d see from international markets this year,” said Dan Darby, Emerald Expositions vice-president and U.S. Antique Shows general manager.
“While there were fewer international attendees, those who did attend came to buy and provided our dealers with some of their strongest sales. The increase in attendance from the U.S. market helped us achieve our outstanding show results.”
The next show scheduled for U.S. Antique Shows is the New York Antique Jewelry & Watch Show from July 24 to 27 at the Metropolitan Pavilion.
