SB_CDN_2[1]A Canadian diamond necklace weighing more than 22 carats helped ring in the opening of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

Birks unveiled the piece at ‘Champagne & Diamonds,’ an event held at Toronto’s Shangri-La Hotel.

The necklace features a 7.34-carat pear-shape Canadian diamond stone of exceptional colour and clarity, along with a further 149 stones sourced in the Great White North. The diamonds are set in certified Canadian 18-karat white gold. Each is laser-engraved with a unique diamond identification number, ensuring their pedigree and provenance.

“This necklace is one of the most impressive Canadian diamond jewellery creations ever showed by Birks—perfect for TIFF red carpets,” says Eva Hartling, vice-president, marketing and communications for Birks Group Inc.
