Luxury brand Birks Group has stepped up its game in Western Canada with the renovation of two of its Calgary stores.
The updates include a complete re-do of the 508-m2 (5465-sf) Maison Birks flagship store at the city’s CORE Shopping Centre. Designed by Québec-based architectural firm, Ædifica, the renovated locale incorporates elements inspired by Birks’ Toronto and Montréal flagship stores and includes an interactive ‘bridal bar.’
The brand also revamped Brinkhaus Jewellers, a 70-year-old Birks Group-owned banner. Transformed by Optima Design, the three-storey historical building now features floating showcases, textured wood walls, and gold accents.
“At Birks Group, we are continuously looking for ways to enhance our store experience and service offerings,” says Jean-Christophe Bédos, the company’s CEO. “By renovating our Maison Birks CORE Shopping Centre store and our Brinkhaus store, we are significantly elevating the shopping experience for our Calgary clientele.”
