A twin-stone blue diamond ring with a pre-sale estimation of $6 to $8 million will lead Christie’s New York auction in April.

The piece, which features two modified brilliant-cut, VS2-clarity diamonds weighing 3.06 and 2.61 carats, is among a significant selection of diamonds and gemstones that will be presented at Christie’s Magnificent Jewels sale.

Also on auction will be three D-colour diamonds larger than 15 carats, including a 16.69-carat marquise-cut diamond ring from the Collection of Elizabeth Stafford with a pre-sale estimate of $1.2 to $1.8 million.

The show will also see a significant representation of coloured diamonds, including a 6.11-carat fancy-pink diamond ring valued at $1.2 to $1.5 million. Several yellow stones will also be presented, including a set of fancy-deep-yellow diamond earrings weighing 7.55 and 7.51 carats (estimated at $700,000 to $1 million), a 37.65-carat fancy-intense-yellow diamond ring ($600,000 to $800,000), and a 35.06-carat fancy-intense-yellow diamond pendant ($500,000 to 700,000).

Other lots include signed pieces by Bulgari, Cartier, Harry Winston, Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co., and Van Cleef & Arpels.

The auction will take place April 16, with Christie’s Jewels Online sale running concurrently from April 10 to 18.
