breitlingThe Breitling Jet Team will soon take to the skies for its 2016 North American Tour, touching down twice in Canada.

Comprising seven pilots flying L-39 C Albatros jets, the team can reach speeds of more than 900 km/h in formations that put the airplanes only a few feet from each other.

“We are thrilled to have the Breitling Jet Team return to Canada this summer,” said Ted Schneider, Breitling Canada’s brand manager. “In 2015, the Breitling Jet Team put on a spectacular air show for thousands of attendees on both coasts of Canada. It’s great to have them returning during this year’s North American tour, so the team can give Canadians another glimpse of their precision and synchronized movement. The Breitling Jet Team is a perfect encapsulation of the essence of Breitling and our watches.”

Breitling established the team more than 13 years ago to celebrate and share its passion for aviation. In 2015, it performed at 18 air shows in the United States and Canada, flying over iconic landmarks, such as Niagara Falls.

This year, the team will draw crowds at approximately 14 air shows across North America, including some of the same places they performed in 2015, including the Abbotsford International Air Show in Abbotsford, B.C. and the Canadian International Air Show in Toronto.

“We are excited to be back in Abbottsford and Toronto this year,” said Jacques Bothelin, the Breitling Jet Team leader. “We couldn’t wait for another incredible performance in Canada.”
