Bulova Watch Co., has signed a three-partnership agreement with The Recording Academy, the body responsible for the Grammy awards.
The deal includes a Grammy-inspired collection of Bulova timepieces, as well as various live events to celebrate music’s overall impact.
“We are honoured to partner with The Recording Academy and to be part of the Grammy family,” said Bulova president, Jeffrey Cohen. “Both music and time mark moments that stay with us.”
The agreement calls for Bulova and The Recording Academy to build a special ‘Moments in Time’ activation, a marketing tool that will drive consumer action through brand interaction and experiences. The activation will focus on the unique ‘moments’ in our lives punctuated by iconic Grammy-winning music.
Bulova has always had a direct correlation with the world of music. In 1926, the company aired the first-ever national radio commercial and launched the first clock radio to the market. In 1960, it introduced the humming Accutron movement with a tuning fork logo, which over the years has represented the brand’s essence.
“I am thrilled by the coming together of these two iconic brands, both American-born, but with wide international recognition,” said Neil Portnow, CEO of The Recording Academy. “Together, in the years to come, we will create and celebrate timeless moments in music history.”
