Prospects and recruiters can make a connection at the Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA’s) second Mini Jewelry Career Fair at JCK Las Vegas in June.

The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is holding its second Mini Jewelry Career Fair at JCK Las Vegas in June.

Sponsored by JCK Events, the fair offers job search tips and career coaching, including private one-on-one sessions covering topics like networking, writing a resumé, starting up a business, and entrepreneurship. Each session lasts 15 minutes.

A panel discussion entitled “Job Success in Today’s Market” is also on the agenda. The panel includes industry leaders like Martin Rapaport, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Rapaport Group, and GIA president and CEO Donna Baker.

A recruiting area for employers is also being designated.

“With the economic recovery picking up steam, the luxury sector, which includes gems and jewellery, is poised for positive gains,” said Kathryn Kimmel, vice-president, chief marketing officer, and event founder. “This career fair can help guide both first-time job seekers and professionals into rewarding and fascinating careers.”

The career fair will be held June 6 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the 4th floor of the Venetian Conference Center in the Zeno ballrooms. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. to sign up for career coaching. The event is free and there is no charge to list a job or to participate as a recruiter.
