CanadaMark and U.S. designer Kara Ross are collaborating on ‘Diamonds Unleashed,’ a brand that promotes and supports women’s empowerment.
“We are delighted CanadaMark diamonds has found a perfect partner in Kara Ross’ exciting ‘Diamonds Unleashed’ brand,” said Jim Pounds, Dominion Diamond’s executive vice-president, diamonds, in announcing the pairing.
“The CanadaMark hallmark speaks not only to excitement and stunningly beautiful diamonds, but diamonds that also represent authenticity, social responsibility, uniqueness, and fairness. Kara’s vision and mission—which celebrates that women, like diamonds, are brilliant, multi-faceted, and unbreakable—is truly inspiring. We are excited to work with ‘Diamonds Unleashed,’ a brand that also reflects our values and which symbolizes, promotes, and supports women’s empowerment worldwide.”
Under this strategic alliance, ‘Diamonds Unleashed’ will use only CanadaMark diamonds, which is owned by Dominion Diamond. The first collection of co-branded ‘Diamonds Unleashed’ jewellery is expected to debut in March or April at retailers HSN and Neiman Marcus and will be sold in support of She’s the First and Girls Who Code. One hundred per cent of net profits will be donated to each organization.
“From the conception of ‘Diamonds Unleashed,’ it has always been my goal to partner with CanadaMark diamonds,” Ross said. “They are the epitome of an ethical brand partner. Canadian mines, from where CanadaMark diamonds are sourced, are completely committed to working with and benefiting their local Aboriginal community partners, protecting the environment, and promoting a safe and healthy workplace with fair pay for all workers. The prestige of its diamonds speaks for the quality I would like my ‘Diamonds Unleashed’ products to have.”
