SB_Csarite-Stone-Group-copy[1]A select group of designers, including Canada’s Varouj Tabakian, will participate in a special Csarite collection that will launch during the Tucson gem shows.

In addition to Tabakian, U.S. designers Erica Courtney, Victor Velyan, Jennifer Dawes, and Katie Diamond, along with Turkey’s Pinar Oner, will showcase the colour-changing diaspore in jewellery design.

The jewellery will be available for viewing at The Courtney Collection’s booth at GJX. Courtney’s Csarite designs will be shown at her booth at AGTA GemFair. The Courtney Collection is the official authorized North American distributor of Csarite.

“Csarite can be used by jewellery designers in many ways and in many forms,” Courtney said. “We are excited about the designers who are participating in this collection, as they will all bring their own style and esthetic to the jewellery they create, while highlighting this beautiful gemstone.”

Ten thousand times rarer than a diamond, Csarite is found only in the Anatolia Mountains of Turkey. Unlike other colour-changing gemstones, it can display different colour hues at the same time, which is extremely rare.
