Mejuri is the latest fine jewellery brand to venture into the realm of lab-grown diamonds. The new move stems from the desire to improve accessibility, as investing in lab-grown offerings ensures customers can purchase bigger styles at lower prices.

According to co-founder Noura Sakkijha, “[Mejuri’s] expansion into lab-grown diamonds is a way to make high-quality diamonds (especially the larger-sized stones) more accessible to our customers, without compromising our sustainability efforts.”

The brand’s first lab-grown diamond collection will focus on 12 classic pieces, including tennis bracelets and necklaces, solitaire pieces, and stud earrings. Each doubles the carat weight of similarly priced items in Mejuri’s natural diamond collections.

Nevertheless, this is not the company’s first foray into lab-grown gems. This newest diamond collection follows the resounding success of Mejuri’s lab-grown sapphire pieces. Within the first week of the collection’s debut, Mejuri had made 202 per cent of its overall revenue goal.

When considering the sheer number of lab-grown diamond options available in the current market, Mejuri promises to prioritize sustainable sourcing. Each lab-grown diamond included in the collection comes from companies certified by SCS Global Services—a third-party organization that verifies the climate neutrality and traceability of certain lab-grown diamonds.
