Jewellery Business recently spoke to Shelly Purdy, owner of Shelly Purdy Studio[1] in Toronto.

Shelly is a self-starter in this industry who began her career in her parents’ garage with nothing but a diploma from George Brown College and a pencil. This year, she’s celebrating 30 years of success with her brand, Shelly Purdy Fine Jewellery.

We spoke to Shelly about her many professional partnerships (including Birks and Maple Leaf Diamonds), as well as the ups and downs she’s experienced throughout her career.
