CGA announces 2024 student design competition

The Canadian Gemmological Association (CGA) is welcoming entries for its 2024 Emerging Artist Design Competition. The competition presents Canadian jewellery design students with an opportunity to gain recognition for their work and secure cash prizes.

“As an educational and professional organization, we believe it’s crucial to showcase the best and brightest talents in Canada,” says CGA president Donna Hawrelko. “We encourage all student designers to present their amazing concepts and brilliant creativity. There is no shortage of astonishing talent from across this country, and we are eager to shine the spotlight on them.”

Prizes for the 2024 CGA Emerging Artist Design Competition include:

1^st place: $1,000
2^nd place: $500
3^rd place: $250

Those wishing to enter the competition can submit their entries on the CGA website[1]. The deadline for entries has been set for July 15, 2024.
