Changes have been announced for the 2017 VicenzaOro International Gold and Jewellery Shows, after a recent meeting of Fiera di Vicenza’s board of directors.
Due to increased interest in international distribution (expressed at the 2016 show), VicenzaOro January (January 20 to 25) will be expanded. This fair will be the industry’s first international trade show of the year, offering a showcase for new collections after the busy holiday season.
VicenzaOro September has been moved to the end of the month to align with Milan Fashion Week for women (September 23 to 27). The move is intended to create an international hub of fashion and jewellery in Italy.
VicenzaOro is adding a third event to their Italian lineup (scheduled for late spring). The goal of this additional show is to “strengthen relations between Italian and classified international gold and jewellery companies,” Fiera di Vicenza stated in a press release.
The fourth show of the year, VicenzaOro Dubai (November 15 to 17), will feature a revamped format—opening to the public for the first time, while also providing exclusive space for trade professionals, preserving the business-to-business (B2B) nature of the show.
VicenzaOro also plans to expand its role as a worldwide ambassador for Italian jewellery, by co-ordinating the participation of key Italian brands at international shows such as JCK Las Vegas, Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, and Mumbai’s International Jewellery Show.
