Diamond Empowerment Fund names new president

[1]Anna Martin, senior vice-president for global development at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), has been named president of the Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF). She will succeed Phyllis Bergman, who is leaving after serving for five years.

Originally founded in 2007, the DEF helps communities whose livelihood depends on the diamond trade.
