Dominion Diamond Corp. has hired a product and sales trainer as a consultant, as it enters the next stage in the development of the CanadaMark program in the United States.
Debbie Hiss, a 30-year veteran in her field, will initially work with a range of jewellery retailers to collect key information regarding product preferences, advertising and marketing needs, and training options for the CanadaMark program.
“Debbie’s vast experience and retail connections will be of great value to us, as we move forward with our CanadaMark initiative,” said Jim Pounds, Dominion’s executive vice-president, diamonds.
Hiss has been involved with all aspects of sales and product training throughout her career, including developing new training programs, negotiating and planning training events, writing articles for product education, and training thousands of sales consultants.
Recently, she served as a training consultant at Forevermark and currently provides consulting services for the American Gem Society (AGS).
