Dominion Diamond Mines[2] has appointed a new director of marketing to spearhead development of its Canadamark[3] program. Rachel Aaron will be stepping into the role, supported by her experience in marketing polished diamonds and retail jewellery.
“Rachel joins Dominion at an exciting time as we boost our focus on the Canadamark hallmark,” said Jim Pounds, Dominion’s executive vice-president, diamonds. “As a Canadian who is passionate about Canadian diamonds, Rachel is excited at the prospect of being a champion of Canadamark. We are confident Canadamark will grow tremendously under her leadership.”
The hallmark is used to indicate a diamond originates from one of Dominion’s two Canadian mines, Ekati[4] and Diavik[5]. Both are located in the Northwest Territories.
Aaron’s duties in this role will include building new and existing relationships and improving Dominion’s social media presence.
