The Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) is reviewing its Code of Practices (COP) and asking for stakeholder feedback.
The review comes three years after the code was published. Proposed changes aim to respond to new issues, improve guidance and interpretation in challenging areas, and strengthen the standard’s impact.
All RJC members—from mine to retail—must be certified against the code within two years of joining.
The proposed revisions take into account stakeholder comments received in a prior comment period, which included:
