The Sundial is one of the watches to get an updated look as part of Fossil’s 25th anniversary campaign.
Watchmaker Fossil is reissuing watches and tins from its early years as part of a retrospective campaign to toast its 25th year.

Entitled ‘Vintage Revival’ and launching this fall, the campaign takes a look back at some of the styles that helped establish the brand, including the Water Watch, Paratrooper, and Sundial. Each will be updated with modern detailing and technical improvements. The reissued tins will sport Americana-influenced graphics and logos from the 1940s and 1950s.

The Texas-based company is also adding a new collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the 1970s. The women’s line centres on the ‘Boho Boyfriend’ style, which offers vintage leathers and hand-distressed fabrics. The men’s line takes its inspiration from aviation instruments and vintage military bags.

An online photo contest will give the public an opportunity to look to their own history for inspiration. Consumers will be able to upload a photo from their past and describe how it has inspired them. Users will vote for their favourite entry. The top-three vote-getters win a vintage-inspired Fossil prize pack.
