The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) has re-elected Moti Ganz to another three-year term as its chair.

Moti Ganz will serve another three-year term as chair of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI).

Unanimously re-elected by IDI’s board of directors, Ganz also serves as president of both the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA).

“I am grateful to the board of directors for this vote of confidence, and promise to continue to act for the betterment of the diamond industry,” he said.

IDI noted Ganz’s work during the global economic crisis and his efforts with government authorities and Israel’s banks to solve the credit crunch. He was instrumental in a newly announced generic marketing campaign for diamonds called the International Diamond Board.

Avi Paz, president of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) and the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB), praised Ganz for his work over the last three years.

“I am convinced the successful co-operation that currently exists amongst all of the institutions of the Israeli diamond industry will continue during Moti Ganz’s second term, and I look forward to working together to promote the industry,” he said.

Ganz is owner of MotiGanz Diamond Group, a diamond exporter in Israel. He is a second-generation diamantaire and has been active in public life in the diamond industry since 1989.
