The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) has unanimously reelected Moti Ganz as its board chair.
“I am grateful to the board of directors for this vote of confidence, and promise to continue to act for the advancement of the Israeli diamond industry,” Ganz said.
Over the last few years, he has worked to support the Israeli diamond industry, promoting it in developing markets, which saw the opening of an office in Hong Kong and Israeli diamond pavilions at shows in India, Thailand, and China. In addition, Ganz has worked with banks and governments on behalf of the Israeli diamond industry to secure favourable terms. He has also called for an open dialogue with rough producers to ensure constant supply.
A second-generation diamantaire, Ganz has been active in public life in the diamond industry since 1989. He also serves as president of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) and honorary president of Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA).
