David Gavin has been re-elected president of the Diamond Bourse of Canada (DBC) for the third time.
Elections were held at the bourse on June 9, during which six officers were elected to the board of directors for a two-year term. The new board comprises members who have served previously and have been elected to return.
The 2016-2018 board comprises an executive committee led by Gavin, vice-president Minesh Shah, treasurer Samuel Chmielash, and Jeffrey Brenner, who will serve as secretary.
Past-president Bhushan Vora and Sangita Shah were also elected to the board of directors.
Gavin has served on the DBC board since its inception in 2009. He later assumed the office of treasurer and served until his appointment to president in 2012 and subsequent re-election in 2014.
