The search is on for Gemological Institute of America’s (GIA’s) new president and chief executive officer (CEO).
The institute’s board announced it has commissioned DHR International to find a replacement for Donna M. Baker, who resigned abruptly last month.
“GIA is an enduring institution with a strong management team, a global presence, and 1800 dedicated staff around the world,” said board chair and interim president and CEO Susan M. Jacques.
“With this strong foundation, I am confident the institute will continue to fulfil its mission to protect the global gem- and jewellery-buying public through gemmological research, professional education, gem identification, and grading laboratory services.”
