Harrods unveils 228-carat diamond from its vault

The Harrods Diamond, one of the world’s rarest diamonds, is on display for the first time at the London, UK department store.

Available by appointment-only, this diamond is a pear-shaped 228.31-carat G-colour, VS-1 clarity polished diamond.

Chief merchant at Harrods, Helen David, says, “It is rare that stones of this weight, cut, polish, and symmetry are sold outside of auction, so this is an exceptional opportunity for Harrods’ customers and a very exciting moment in Harrods’ history.”
