The International Gemological Institute[2] (IGI) is set to host a jewellery design course in Antwerp this coming spring.

The two-week program will teach attendees the basics, as well as the complexities, of designing specific types of jewellery. Students will explore illustration techniques, as well as practical design aspects, such as diamond and gemstone sizing, gold karat calculations, and final product pricing.

Historically held in Shanghai, India, and Dubai, the Antwerp course marks the first European location to offer the program.

“We are thrilled to bring such a sought-after class to Antwerp, where IGI was founded and has a rich history,” said Roland Lorie, CEO of IGI. “We are honoured to help fuel the creativity and passion of our students and look forward to continuing to provide these offerings for the betterment of the international jewellery community.”

The course will be held in Antwerp from March 25 to April 5. For details on how to register, click here[3].
