JCK Toronto kicks off the summer show season and will be held Aug. 12 to 14.

The jewellery industry will soon be gathering in the Big Smoke for JCK Toronto.

Held from Aug. 12 to 14 in the south building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the show features more than 150 exhibitors.

In addition to providing retailers another chance to stock up for the holiday season, the show features a lineup of international experts speaking on everything from chain of custody to social media.

New this year is a bench seminar sponsored by Palladium Alliance International (PAI).

“With the success of the palladium campaigns of 2011 and 2012, consumers are seeking out [this metal] in record numbers,” says Kate Peterson from Performance Concepts, Inc., on behalf of PAI.

“JCK is doing something really helpful in providing education and training in this area and bringing on the enormously talented Chris Ploof and Linus Drogs to instruct.”

Networking events like the presentation of the CJA Chairman’s Award, a fashion show sponsored by ELLE Time and Jewelry, and a meet-and-greet with Adrion ‘Pee Wee’ Smith and Damon Allen of the Toronto Argonauts, along with Tim Connolly of the Toronto Maple Leafs, are also scheduled.

“The Toronto show is a great opportunity to introduce designers and manufacturers to the important players in Canada, and because it’s an intimate show, the networking opportunities are unrivalled,” says John Tierney from JCK Events. “The show also has a great lineup of important educational seminars given by industry leaders, as well as the star power of key athletes in Canadian sports lending their support to the industry, so it’s bound to be a productive and fun environment.”

JCK Toronto is run in affiliation with the Canadian Jewellers Association (CJA). For more information, visit www.jcktoronto.ca[2].
