Carol Sanders, a Jewelers Mutual veteran, has been promoted to the role of executive vice-president (EVP) and chief operating officer (COO).
“The Jewelers Mutual’s board of directors unanimously approved Carol’s appointment to EVP and COO,” said company president and CEO, Darwin Copeman.
“We’re confident in her ability to produce strong company results and manage our daily operations.”
Sanders most recently served as Jewelers Mutual’s senior vice-president, chief financial officer (CFO), and corporate treasurer. In her new role, she will be responsible for the company’s personal and commercial lines divisions, overseeing operations such as sales, distribution, marketing, underwriting, loss prevention, and product management.
Prior to joining Jewelers Mutual, Sanders had 12 years’ experience in corporate finance and three years in public accounting. She holds designations as a certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA), certified financial manager (CFM), and chartered property casualty underwriter (CPCU).
