The next update to Italy’s Fiera di Vicenza[2] exhibition centre will be focused on meeting the needs of jewellery trade shows like VicenzaOro[3], according to the Italian Exhibition Group[4] (IEG), the show’s organizer.
This new initiative involves not the building of a new hall, but a renovation of the existing Hall 2. It is the first major renovation at the centre since the opening of Hall 7 in 2015, which allowed IEG to reorganize VicenzaOro’s exhibitor map and introduce the ‘boutique’ format it currently uses.
Volkwin Marg of GMP Von Gerkan, Mark & Partners Studio is at the helm of the design, overseeing a project expected to cost 35 million euros ($52.9 million CAD). The goal is to condense the hall into two levels rather than five, while adding technologies that support a variety of events focused on the gold and jewellery industry.
Fiera di Vicenza will play host to its next major event this fall, when VicenzaOro September[5] is set to run from September 22 to 26.
